Transition Policy

New plan members may be using drugs that are not in our prescription drug formulary, or are subject to certain restrictions, such as pre-authorizations or step therapy. In these cases, the plan will cover a 30-day supply of the drug during the first 90 days of enrollment. Current members may also be affected by changes that occur, in our prescription drug formulary, from year to year. These members must consult with their physician in order to determine if they can switch to a different drug covered by our plan or if they should request an exception to the prescription drug formulary.
