First+Plus is a Medicare approved organization that offers Medicare Advantage plans and prescription Drug Plans to Medicare Beneficiaries. With First+Plus you will be able to experience individualized care from our health care professionals. All of First+Plus plans cover services throughout the entire island of Puerto Rico, and has some plans that cover services when traveling.
In order to serve you better, First+Plus has contracted over 6,500 providers including primary care physicians, specialists and hospitals that cover your health care needs throughout the Island.
Our Products
First+Plus offers a variety of plans designed to cover your health care needs. We offer Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plans for those who travel often, Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) plans with more affordable options and Prescription Drug Plans (PDP).
Preferred Provider Organization (PPO)
Our PPO option will cover most of your services while traveling in the United States, all you will have to pay is your co-insurance or co-payment, we will cover the rest. Within this option we also offer Employer Group Health Plans to government retirees.

Health Maintenance Organization (HMO)
Our HMO options give you quality benefits at affordable prices. Although services will not be covered while traveling, unless of an emergency, these plans offer a prescription drug coverage with no additional plan premium to the Part B premium that you already pay. Our HMO option also offers 2 Special Needs Plans (SNP), one for our Diabetic population and one for dual-eligible beneficiaries.

Prescription Drug Plans (PDP)
Our PDP option has been created for those Medicare Beneficiaries who wish to remain enrolled with Original Medicare. You will only receive your Prescription Drug Benefit with us. This plan has nationwide coverage. You do not need to have both Medicare Part A and Part B to enroll in our PDP option. This option also offers a PDP Employer Group Health Plan.

Service Area:
Although Medicare is a Federal program, First+Plus is only available to individuals who live in our plan service area. To stay a member of our plan, you must keep living in this service area. Our service area includes the entire island of Puerto Rico, including Vieques and Culebra.
